We've discovered a great little gem tucked away in Franschhoek, the gourmet, French-influenced capital of the Cape Winelands. The Otters Bend Lodge is situated on a farm next to the river and each of the rooms lead onto a wooden deck overlooking the river and mountains.
If you're travelling on a budget and you want to blow your bucks on good wine and fine cuisine; then give this place some thought. You don't often stumble across affordable accommodation in such a tranquil, "elite" Winelands village.
