The Old Mutual Two Oceans marathon is known as the world's most beautiful marathon because of its route around the rugged, pristine Cape Peninsula. Trail Running Series in Cape Town

Cape Town boasts some incredible trail running routes for both the newbie and the seasoned runner. It's a way of discovering our mountains, meeting people and keeping fit.

This is just a quick post about a brilliant trail running series I've just discovered. I'm still a trail running novice but I'm not phased, I'll run with the big boys. See you on the track!

La Capra trail run at Fairview - not just for goats

Don't forget to sign-up for the La Capra Goat Run held at the Fairview Wine Estate in Paarl. If you're not one for sweating and spraining your ankles, then indulge in a bit of wine and cheese tasting on the day.

You can have wine for breakfast while the trail runners whine. This annual event brings together food, fitness and fun. You get a goodie bag if you enter the race; so it's well-worth the 15 km!

Cape Town's festive Gun Run

The Gun Run is one of Cape Town's more festive half marathons and boasts a fairly flat run ideal for first time half marathon runners. The route is coastal and runners are treated to the breathtaking sights of Clifton, Sea Point, Mouille Point and the VA Waterfront.
