It's advisable to book your Hermanus accommodation now if you have the funds. September in Hermanus is vibey and festive because of the whale season. This is the time of year when Southern Right whales migrate to the shores of Walker Bay. Hermanus is a great touristy coastal town and well-worth a quick 3 night break.

I've stayed at the Misty Waves Hotel in Hermanus and it's really good value for money, if not even luxurious.
